Scoop: Lea is a diva on ‘Glee’ set

She’s the breakout star of “Glee” in a role that was written for her, so it might not come as a big surprise to hear buzz that Lea Michele has a lot in common with her spotlight-seeking character, Rachel Berry.

“Lea acts like she’s better than the rest of the cast,” a source told Us magazine. “But the thing is, she legitimately is.”

“She has very clear ideas about what she wants to do and how she wants to look. I think she’s just type A, like her character,” another source said. “She’s sweet, but she has her moments.”

“They can deal with her in small doses, but sometimes she’s too much to handle,” another source told the New York Daily News. “She acts like she’s the only star on the show, and it has become an uncomfortable situation when she gives attitude to the people around her.”

Reportedly, she’s rubbed multiple members of the show’s cast and crew the wrong way.

Still, the cast has forged a familylike bond, one insider said: “They’ve learned how to put up with her attitude so far, but she’s going to have to tone it down if she wants the second season to go smoothly.”

Well, maybe she’s just really committed to method acting.

Ex appeal

Perhaps absence does make the heart grow fonder. Amanda Seyfried was spotted on an outing with ex-boyfriend Dominic Cooper — and while it wasn’t romantic per se, the “Mamma Mia” co-stars looked pretty cozy together.

On Friday, the American actress and her erstwhile Brit beau hit the gym together and then lunched at a coffee shop.

“Amanda and Dominic looked casual and seemed very comfortable together,” an onlooker told People magazine. “They chatted nonstop, laughed and shared treats with Amanda’s dog Finn.”

Previously, reports had the pair “taking a break” rather than officially breaking up.

Though they weren’t openly affectionate, they “did flirt and seemed to have fun together,” the evidently nosy observer said.
After lunch, they proceeded to Amanda’s pad and hung out there for the afternoon. Think they, ahem, reconnected behind closed doors?

Simon’s secret

Simon Monjack, the mysterious figure who died just months after wife Brittany Murphy, was reputed to have some skeletons in his closet. And now, at least one of them has been revealed by TMZ: He secretly had two children, a daughter and a son, from two separate prior relationships.

When Simon’s mother, brother and therapist visited the home he had shared with Brittany’s mother, Sharon Murphy, they took his laptop and found e-mails from two women appealing to him for child support.

The computer also held records of wire transfers of money — up to $48,000 in a single transfer — that was going to attorneys and paying off a financial settlement.

Though Sharon, who was close to Simon, filed a theft report, the laptop has been handed over to the coroner, who’s investigating its findings. Wonder what other secrets it might turn up?

Chin up

Our long national nightmare is over! No, they haven’t stopped the oil spill, but there’s at least one bit of good news: Brad Pitt has finally shaved that horrible hotness-obscuring hairball off his face.

Paparazzi site X17 snapped the actor on a drive with Angelina Jolie, sporting just a close-cropped goatee, not a full-on billy-goat beard.

OK, so maybe it’s not that significant in the grand scheme of things. But with all the depressing headlines lately, we’re grateful for any news we can celebrate!
