Scoop: Did Oksana leak the infamous Mel tapes?

In her first interview since the Mel Gibson Taped-Rant-gate scandal broke, Oksana Grigorieva insists she didn’t leak the audio of his rage-filled outbursts. But according to one report, she was in financial negotiations with her baby daddy to keep the recordings under wraps.

The Russian musician told People magazine she secretly taped the “Braveheart” star because “I needed to document his threats,” adding that during their infamous January argument, “I thought he would kill me.”

But TMZ says that in May, Oksana walked away from a $15 million settlement with Mel’s lawyers which would have ensured “evidence” from the case remain confidential. Did the paparazzi site just blow the whistle on her … or are they just jealous that Radar Online scored the exclusive audio of Mel?

Royal Wedding?

They haven’t officially announced their engagement, but that hasn’t stopped Life&Style magazine from eagerly anticipating the guest list at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding. The British heir and his presumptive bride-to-be are said to be planning a ceremony, and such luminaries as Michelle Obama, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Rod Stewart are allegedly on the short list of invites.

“Elton John, who was extremely close to Diana, will most certainly be at the wedding,” declares a source.

But the late princess’s former BFF, Sarah Ferguson, will allegedly be “banned” due to her recent attempts to extort money for access to her ex-husband Prince Andrew (Wills’ uncle).

And this will evidently be one wedding where the bride’s side of the aisle is less populated than the groom’s. “It will be the job of aides at Clarence House, which is the Prince’s London residence, as well as Buckingham Palace, where the queen lives, to compile the guest list,” a royal watcher explains to the tabloids. “There’s a lot of protocol involved — many heads of state and European royal families must be accounted for and included.”

OK, fine. We’ll try not to get too offended if we don’t make the cut.

Shia vs. Frankie

Now this is the funniest celebrity feud we’ve heard about since George Clooney and Fabio had a public spat. Box-office champ Shia LaBeouf recently felt the need to trash-talk Frankie Muniz, aka “the kid from ‘Malcolm in the Middle.’”

Though Frankie has retired from acting, Shia apparently still has a chip on his shoulder from their teen-sitcom days (remember “Even Stevens”? Us neither), when the “Malcolm” star supposedly snubbed him.

Now, of course, the tables have turned, and Shia’s the big star. When a radio interviewer pointed out that his last six flicks have been blockbusters, the “Indiana Jones” star snarked back, “While that’s flattering as hell, you could have put Frankie Muniz into any of the movies I’ve been in and those movies still would’ve still been No. 1.”

And when asked whether he was worried about running into Frankie at a party after that remark, Shia sniffed, “I don’t go to many parties … and I really don’t hang out in Frankie Muniz-type zones,” according to E! News.

For his part, Frankie fired back over Twitter, “Dear Shia LaBeouf, it’s getting creepy the fact that you can’t stop talking about me. It’s been 12 years now. I don’t know you. Thanks.” He later added that he might emerge from retirement … perhaps to steal Shia’s roles?

Frankly (Frankie-ly?), we think Shia was right to say movies like “Transformers” would have succeeded with or without him. Maybe instead of mocking Frankie’s fall from fame, he should take a lesson about staying humble when you’re on top.
