Scoop! Brandy may face charges in car crash

R&B singer Brandy may face legal consequences for a December car accident that left one woman dead.

As Scoop! reported last week, the "America’s Got Talent" judge was involved in a California highway collision shortly before the New Year; no charges were filed. But Monday, the California Highway Patrol recommended that Brandy be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.

"The office is currently reviewing the case and determining whether the evidence warrants the filing of a misdemeanor charge of vehicular manslaughter," said a representative for the L.A. city attorney’s office.

The former "Moesha" star has expressed her condolences to the family of Awatef Aboudihaj, 38, who died of injuries the day after the crash. As of press time, Brandy’s rep had no comment on the possibility of criminal charges, and prosecutors had not set a time frame for making a decision.

Sienna and Diddy: All-Nighter?

Sienna Miller is already better known for her off-screen leading men than her on-screen roles — and now she’s courting scandal yet again with her choice of male companion. After she partied with Diddy on Saturday night in NYC, photographers snapped the hip-hop mogul escorting the "Factory Girl" back to her hotel room … at 9 a.m. Sunday.

The artist formerly known as Puff, father of infant twin girls by longtime girlfriend Kim Porter, reportedly looked startled when he saw paparazzi and implored them not to print the pix.

But don’t jump to the conclusion these two are more than platonic partying pals. "According to the press, I’ve literally slept with half of Hollywood," Sienna recently complained at the Sundance Film Festival. "I don’t know [when] I [supposedly] found the time to sleep with all of those people, who actually happen to be friends, you know? And I also think you’re allowed to have male friends."

Reps for bothSienna and Diddy insist they are just — wait for it — friends.

Sienna stars as Andy Warhol's muse, Edie Sedgwick, in the biopic "Factory Girl." Watch the trailer (below):

Paris Is Suing

Paris Hilton seems to have built her, er, career on getting exposure (in every sense of the word) — but the camera-friendly heiress says the Web site has gone too far. The "Simple Life" star is suing to shut down the site, which is auctioning off her private belongings — including videos, photos, medical and legal documents, diaries and other mementos — that she fears might give buyers the means "to steal my identity, or even worse, to harass or stalk me."

On Monday, Paris filed a federal lawsuit to keep her dirty laundry from being aired online. "I was appalled to learn that people are exploiting my and [sister Nicky’s] private personal belongings for commercial gain," Paris said in a statement.

The Paris-abilia was obtained from an L.A. storage facility unit rented by the Hilton sisters, which auctioned off the goods when the unit’s fee went unpaid.

Honestly, could there be any lurid detail of this girl’s personal life we don’t already know?

Niki: Not ‘Broken’

In other legally blonde news, former supermodel Niki Taylor is also in a litigious mood. The ’90s swimsuit queen filed a lawsuit against the E! cable network, saying its profile of her on the show "Blvd. of Broken Dreams" was slanderous and inflicted emotional distress.

According to her claim, Niki agreed to do the show with the understanding it would be a puff piece promoting her current projects, including entrepreneurial and charity work.

Instead, the episode focused on past tragedies like a 2001 car crash and, says Niki, falsely portrayed her saga as a sob story. Apparently she’s not a subscriber to the "all publicity is good publicity" school.

"My life is far from a ‘boulevard of broken dreams,’" the indignant model declared in a statement.

Niki, honey, we feel for you, but did you bother to read the title of the show before you signed on?
