Scathing Central Subway report headed to Board of Supervisors hearing

Three months after the San Francisco Civil Grand Jury issued a report slamming the Central Subway plan— helping to put the issue in the center of this year’s mayoral race—the San Francisco Board of Supervisors will discuss the body’s controversial study.

On Thursday, the authors of the report will discuss their findings at the Board of Supervisor’s Government Audit and Oversight Committee meeting.

While Muni’s $1.6 billion plan to extend underground Metro service from the SoMa District to Chinatown has attracted plenty of critics, the Board of Supervisors recently expressed unanimous support for the project.

Thursday’s meeting will take place at 10 a.m. in Room 263 at City Hall.
