Scarlett and Sean: Major PDA at dinner with Obama

Although Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn were photographed holding hands after the White House Correspondents Dinner on Saturday night, it turns out their PDA was a little less chaste inside the event. Fellow attendees were shocked to see ScarJo sitting in her older man’s lap at the dinner table and engaging in a makeout session one source described to Us magazine as “intense.”

“It happened right as the main course of the dinner was being put on the table,” noted the onlooker. Tacky!

“She plopped down in his lap, and they were kissing,” an observer told the New York Post, adding that they disappeared from the room for “an hour” and Sean returned with his tie mussed. Super-tacky!

After dinner, the pair was separated, but they reconnected at the after-party. “Around 1 a.m. Sean showed up and he and Scarlett were immediately side by side for the rest of the night,” said an Us magazine source. “When they were walking out the door, Sean stopped her, took off his jacket and put it on her shoulders, saying, ‘It’s cold out there.’ They then grabbed hands and walked out before 3 a.m.”

We’re happy they’re happy (not to mention hot and heavy). But come on, kids — if you’re invited to a function with the president, show a little decorum!

Son and Cher

Proud mom Cher says she admires the bravery of her son Chaz Bono — who started out life as her daughter Chastity Bono.

The iconic star may have initially had some trouble wrapping her mind around Chaz’s decision to switch genders: Last year she told Vanity Fair, “She’s a very smart girl-boy! … I still don’t remember to call her ‘him.’” But she’s now his biggest supporter.

The “Believe” singer hosted a screening of the documentary “Becoming Chaz” at her Malibu home this past weekend; the film, set to air on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network, chronicles the journey from Chastity to Chaz.

“Cher and 10 of her and Chaz’s friends stood up and cheered when it was over,” a pal told People magazine.

“I admire my son Chaz’s courage for sharing his personal journey,” Cher said, according to her friend. “Most important to me is that he is very happy. That’s what I care about the most. He has my love and support.” Touching — we’re looking forward to checking out the doc.

A Single Man

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are officially divorced … and we wouldn’t blame you if you thought that was old news.

Although the volatile actor and his third wife separated following a Christmas 2009 domestic dispute, and filed papers back in November, the marriage wasn’t officially kaput until Monday.

Court documents stipulate that Charlie pay his ex $55,000 a month in child support for their twin sons, and that “under no circumstances shall the child support paid by Charlie for Bob and Max be less than the child support paid by Charlie to [second wife] Denise Richards for [daughters] Sam and Lola.”

Brooke gets physical custody of the twins and joint legal custody with Charlie, who will see them three weekends a month. She also received a lump sum of more than $750,000, plus a cool $1.2 million to buy out her share of their home — now the former “Two and a Half Men” star’s bachelor pad.

Frankly, we’re not sure any amount of money would make marrying Charlie Sheen worth it.
