Santa Clara residents hear 49ers stadium proposals

The proposed plan for a 49ers stadium in Santa Clara received input from residents at a series of meetings.

Dozens of people expressed concerns about the impact a stadium would have on freeways, utility taxes, noise, air and light pollution.

Tuesday’s meeting came as the city begins an environmental assessment of the project. Input from residents and the environmental review are part of an evaluation process being prepared before the stadium would be put before a public vote.
