Sanity phase next up in SF stabbing trial 

The jury is expected to receive the case in the sanity phase of Scott Thomas' attempted murder trial Tuesday or Wednesday. Thomas is accused of stabbing a 15-year-old girl and 60-year-old man May 19, 2007, inside a Twin Peaks bakery, a day after he was released from state prison. He entered two pleas, not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity. He was convicted on the first plea March 2.
