San Francisco Zoo’s newest penguin chick named 'Posey' after Giants catcher

The San Francisco Zoo’s newest penguin chick is named after Giants catcher Buster Posey.

“Posey” was unveiled at the zoo’s “March of the Penguins” event Saturday.

She is one of five new Magellanic penguin chicks hatched on zoo’s Penguin Island in May, and returned to the zoo to reunite with other penguins Saturday after attending “fish school” and learning how to swim and acclimate to people.

The zoo held a naming contest Saturday morning and Posey was the winning entry.
