San Francisco to require cell phone radiation disclosure 

San Francisco has become the first major city Tuesday to adopt a law that will eventually force cell phone retailers to disclose the level of radiation emitted by the devices.

The Board of Supervisors voted 9-1 Tuesday in a second and final vote, approved the law, which was introduced by Mayor Gavin Newsom. Supervisor Sean Elsbernd opposed the measure. Supervisor Michela Alioto-Pier was excused from the meeting.
