San Francisco takes third place in costly hotel rates 

San Francisco was ranked the third-most expensive city in America for budget hotels in a report from Cheap-hotels.org. With an average rate of $125 a night, The City trailed only Boston ($130) and New York ($147). Fisherman’s Wharf ($159) was the most expensive S.F. neighborhood to stay in, while the best deals could be found near the airport ($102).
