Friday’s games

Galileo at Sequoia, 7 p.m.
SanFranPreps.com Player of the Week Quincy Nelson and the Lions, who rushed for a combined 510 yards against Mills in Week 0, will have a little more difficulty against Sequoia, who routed Branham of San Jose 44-0 last week.

Sacred Heart Cathedral at Justin Siena, 7 p.m.
The Fightin’ Irish will try to follow up on an impressive opening-week win over Terra Nova and a standout performance from senior quarterback Sean Murphy when they travel north to face sister school Justin Siena.

Balboa at Oakland Tech, 7 p.m.
The Buccaneers will try to bounce back from a heartbreaking 28-26 loss to Kennedy of Fremont last week. Balboa quarterback Kerati Apilakvanichakit had 396 yards passing in the loss.

Burton at Richmond, 7 p.m.
Burton, which was held scoreless against Hercules last week, will face a Richmond team that handled Marshall, another city squad, 31-0 in the opening week.

Mission vs. Fort Bragg at Kezar Stadium, 7 p.m.
Fort Bragg will make the 160-mile trip south to Kezar Stadium to face a Mission team that was blown out by Tomales last week.

Saturday’s games

Milpitias at St. Ignatius, 1 p.m.
The Wildcats will face another stiff test against highly touted Milpitas after a discouraging loss to Marin Catholic last week.

Lincoln at Tamalpais (Mill Valley), 2 p.m.
Lincoln will likely be underdogs again this week against a solid Tamalpais team that went 8-4 last season.

Paradise at Lowell, 2 p.m.
The Cardinals will host one of the top teams in the Northern Section in Paradise, which went 10-2 last season and lost in the CIF-NS championship game.

Washington at El Camino, 2 p.m.
In the season opener for both teams, the Eagles will look for a repeat performance of when the teams met in 2009, a 31-14 Washington win.

Riordan at Sacred Heart Prep, 3 p.m.
Riordan got the best of SHP in their 2009 meeting (a 28-7 win).
