San Francisco police seek suspect in daylight Bernal Heights slaying

The brazen murder of an 18-year-old man sitting in a car at a stoplight near Bernal Heights on Thursday afternoon has San Francisco police asking for help.

Kevin Hall, of San Francisco, was sitting in the passenger seat of a faded red Buick that had stopped at a red light at Alemany Boulevard and Crescent Avenue at about 12:30 p.m., when another car pulled alongside, a man got out and shot him, police said.

Hall was driven to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died.

Police said the shooting suspect, a black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, fled in a silver two-door Acura or Honda with a license plate beginning with the number 5. The vehicle had tinted windows and headlamps covered with yellow film.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has information is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text TIP411.
