San Francisco police respond to bomb threat at City College campus

The San Francisco Police Department’s bomb squad was called out to City College of San Francisco’s Mission Campus on Tuesday night after reports of possible explosive devices discovered, police said.

The campus was evacuated and searched, cops said. The all clear was given except for a specific site on campus in the 1100 block of Valencia Street where two suspicious items were found.

The bomb squad retrieved those items but has not determined if they are in fact explosive devices as of this time.

“We treat all bomb threats seriously in the interest of public safety,” San Francisco police Lt. Troy Dangerfield said.
