San Francisco: Places to go, people to see

Bay Area pop artist Greg Lamboy celebrates the release of his new album, "Lift," at "Must Lift Together," a party and fundraiser.

Lamboy — who cites influences from Stevie Wonder to Led Zeppelin and calls his sound complementary to Train, Counting Crows and Dave Matthews — appears with Austin Willacy and Katie Garibaldi at the event. Proceeds benefit Music in Schools Today, a SanFrancisco-based nonprofit program that supports, develops and promotes music education for youth in public schools and in the community.

The show is at 6:45 p.m. Sunday at Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center, Buchanan Street and Marina Boulevard, San Francisco. Tickets are $20 to $25. For more information, call (415) 845-7202 or visit www.greglamboy.com.
