San Francisco: Places to go, people to see 

The San Francisco Jewish Film Festival presents "His People," a 1925 silent melodrama about two New York brothers who take very different paths to realize their vision of the American dream. A live score, performed by Paul Shapiro’s jazz sextet, accompanies the film. The film screens at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Castro Theatre, 429 Castro St., San Francisco. Tickets are $16 to $18.
