San Francisco mayoral debate starts off with a boo

In a packed house at the Castro Theater on Monday evening, Mayor Ed Lee was met with a negative reception during his first mayoral debate since announcing his candidacy Monday morning.

Lee was appointed interim mayor in January, partly based on his promise not to seek a full term in November's election.

The crowd called him a liar and booed heavily as he was introduced. He was hissed at loudly when the moderator requested the crowd allow him to finish. He was the only candidate to be met with negativity during the introductions.

And the questions haven't even begun.
