San Francisco International Airport to reveal tap water filling stations

Thirsty passengers travelling from San Francisco International Airport will have a new resource at their hands.

This afternoon, officials from the airport and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission will unveil a new network of tap water filling stations, which allow passengers to fill up a glass of water after they’ve passed through security checkpoints.

Airport Director John Martin, SFPUC chief Ed Harrington and Board of Supervisors President David Chiu will be on hand to give a demonstration on how the new system will work.

The event will take place at 1:45 p.m. at Terminal 3 in the airport.
