The San Francisco Giants are scheduled to kick off their 2012 baseball season in Arizona on Friday, April 6 and play their home opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday, April 13, the club announced Wednesday.  It will be the ninth time since 2000 that the club has opened the season on the road.

Following the opening road trip to Arizona and Colorado, the Giants will return to the Shores of McCovey Cove for their first homestand of the year with a three-game series against both the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies.
There are a limited number of season tickets still avaliable for sale. Last month, the Giants released the remaining 1,800 season tickets for the 2012 season.  To date, less than 800 season tickets remain up for grabs for the 2012 season.  Fans interested in securing their season tickets for next year’s campaign should call 415-972-2298 or visit for more information.
