San Francisco cabbie robbed at gunpoint

A cab driver was robbed at gunpoint by his passenger Monday morning, cops said.

The 31-year-old cabbie dropped the suspect off at John Muir Drive and Lake Merced Boulevard just after midnight, police said. The suspect pointed a gun at the driver and demanded his property.

The hack complied and the thief, described by police as a Hispanic man in his early 20s, fled in a waiting black Honda Accord, cops said.

The driver lost his cellphone, wallet and cash. No arrest has been made.

There have been several reports of cabbie attacks in recent months. Some drivers say cops are more vigilant about informing them of the attacks. Several cabbies say there needs to be better police reporting about attacks involving drivers.
