San Carlos council may nix red-light cameras 

The San Carlos City Council on Monday will consider a resolution to terminate use of red-light cameras due to a drain on the city budget.

City documents say the program, which went into effect Nov. 27, 2008, is running at an average monthly deficit of $2,213. The current contract with camera provider Redflex runs through Oct. 27, 2011. The resolution would terminate the program at that time.
