San Carlos Airport visitors can see copters up close

Nearly two dozen types of helicopters are scheduled to be at Hiller Aviation Museum at San Carlos Airport on Saturday for an air show. Vertical Challenge, which runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., allows visitors to see up close how helicopters operate. There will be demonstrations of how helicopters affect us daily, from your daily traffic reports to their role as life-saving equipment. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for seniors and youths ages 5 to 17; kids 4 and under get in free.
