San Bruno City Council discusses forming committee for anniversary of deadly explosion

The San Bruno City Council tonight will consider forming a committee that would help plan events marking the one-year anniversary of the Sept. 9 Glenview explosion and fire.

The committee would be made up of city staff, local clergy, community groups and residents of the Crestmoor Canyon area who were impacted by the disaster, community services director Randy Schwartz said in a staff report.

Committee members would consider options for an anniversary event or series of events and present their ideas to the City Council at a future meeting.
