Rumors snuffed: Rivera not fired from her role on ‘Glee’

“There is no truth to the rumor Naya has been fired from the show,” the Fox Network noted in a statement released to The Associated Press late Saturday night, which concluded, “She remains under contract to ‘Glee.’”

Rivera plays Santana Lopez, a lesbian glee club member, on the popular musical drama.

Before “Glee” actress Lea Michele arrived Saturday morning at the premiere of her latest film, the animated “Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return,” a publicist for Michele said her client would not comment on co-star Rivera, the subject of numerous rumors and reports.

New suit against director

Another accusation against Bryan Singer has been revealed.

TMZ reports the director of the recent “X-Men” films has been accused of forcing himself on a British teen after the “Superman Returns” premiere in London. Singer also directed that flick.

A lawyer who represents the anonymous 17-year-old boy is planning on filing a lawsuit today. The lawyer also represents another accuser, Michael Egan, who leveled similar charges agains Singer.

Looped into this lawsuit is Hollywood big shot Gary Goddard, who along with Singer is accused of touching the 17-year old while in a hotel room following the premiere. The lawsuit says Goddard brought in a henchman to force the teen to have sex.

A lawyer for Goddard says the allegations are not true.


“The Amazing Spider-Man 2” debuted with $92 million in North American theaters over the weekend, according to studio estimates. Last week’s No. 1 film, the female revenge comedy “The Other Woman,” starring Cameron Diaz, slid to a distant second with $14 million in its second weekend.

A dancer hired for a Britney Spears video shoot will file a lawsuit today says the pop diva smacked her in the face and broke her nose during a rehearsal, TMZ reports.
