Rotten robbers and a criminal cookout 

Thugs are hungry. They use Craigslist. They will punch you even after you give in to their demands.

Ferry Plaza Park

12:45 p.m. Tuesday
A man who was illegally burning charcoal and wood while cooking food at Ferry Plaza Park was arrested — then he tried to bite a cop and kneed another cop in the groin during a long struggle that continued at the county jail.

19th and Holloway avenues
4:28 p.m. Wednesday

A 22-year-old man who advertised a cellphone on Craigslist was briefly kidnapped and robbed by four thugs in a car. The victim, who lost his wallet, ID and credit card, suffered a minor injury before he was dropped off across town.

Webster and Page streets
7:45 p.m. Wednesday

Five thugs above age 36 assaulted and robbed a 37-year-old man numerous times after he complied with their demands to give them money. The victim had thrown the cash to the ground. He was not seriously injured.

Leavenworth and Pine streets
9 p.m. Wednesday

A 24-year-old woman refused to let a crook use her cellphone. But when the crook pulled out a gun, the woman handed it over.
