Rosanne Cash set to Tweet with the Stars

Yes, Twitter can be used for thousands of useless, self-aggrandizing postings from the Too Much Positive Reinforcement Generation. Stuff that, only ten years ago, you probably wouldn’t dare put in your clasp-locked diary.

But many musicians are using it as a great creative tool, a la our old friend, the alt-country queen Rosanne Cash. Today at 5 p.m., the singer — whose last album “The List” ran down a dozen country classics her late father Johnny Cash once instructed her to learn, from his original roster of 100 — will be conducting a live Twitter-cast, in conjunction with AllCaliforniaRock.com.

In the one-hour session, dubbed Tweet with the Stars, Cash will be running down yet another list — of her Top 15 favorite California-related songs, many of which she first became familiar with as a child growing up in the San Fernando Valley.

During the Twitter-cast, she’ll also be giving away an autographed copy of her new two-disc, 36-track Legacy Records retrospective, “The Essential Rosanne Cash.”

It’s easy to tune in. To follow her tweets, go here. To listen live, go to All California Rock and click “Listen Now.”
