Results are in for Northeast Embarcadero study

The public discussion concerning the future of the northeast portion of the Embarcadero will continue next week with a walking tour and a community workshop.

The Northeast Embarcadero Study, initiated by Supervisor David Chiu and conducted by The City’s Planning Department, is an examination of development possibilities on the Embarcadero, with an emphasis on the waterfront area from Market Street to North Point Street.

In May and June, members of The City’s Planning Department held community meetings to gather public feedback on potential development.

City planning officials will summarize those public comments at a community workshop scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Port Commission’s hearing room in the Ferry Building.

The Planning Department will lead the walking tour of the Embarcadero from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
