Residents request speed-bump installation

Residents of the Belleair neighborhood of San Bruno and members of the community group San Bruno ACORN met this week with Public Works Director Jane Chambers this week to demand that speed bumps be installed on Third Avenue, a street nearby residents say has been plagued with traffic. City officials have maintained that they are looking at a number of areas for traffic-calming measures and that Belleair residents will have to go through the proper process before any speed-reducing work is completed in their area.
