Rep. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., returns $22,00 of Rangel's 'Dirty Money' -- 28 Dems return $400,000 

Mike Schmuhl, the campaign manager for Rep. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., just contacted the Examiner to say that the congressmen is returning $22,000 in donations that he recieved from Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y. Schmul sent the following statement:

The congressman's campaign will be returning the contributions it received from Rangel. We are currently in the process of identifying charities around north central Indiana to which to contribute the funds. We started this process yesterday.

Rangel was admonished by the House Ethics Committee last week and faces an ongoing investigation surrounding a litany legal and ethical improprieties. This morning, I reported that 27 congressmen had donated $378,000 in Rangel's campaign donations to charity. Donnelly is the 28th Democratic congressmen to donate Rangel's money and and brings the total to an even $400,000.
