Regional airport plan for Bay Area to be discussed in series of meetings

Regional planning officials will meet next week to discuss ways to improve access to the region’s three main airports.

The Regional Airport Plan is a project overseen by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission -- the Bay Area’s lead planning agency -- and has not been updated since 2009.

In a series of meetings next week, planners will outline new goals for connecting passengers efficiently with hubs in San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland.

The first meeting is March 22 at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Services Center in South San Francisco. The second meeting is at the same time on March 23 at the MTC’s headquarters in Oakland, and the last meeting is at 7 p.m. on March 24 in San Jose.
