Red Carpet: Old-school eats in The City 

Wayfare Tavern grand opening: On Sunday night, celebrity chef Tyler Florence of the Food Network celebrated the establishment of his first restaurant in The City. Located at 558 Sacramento St. the former home of Rubicon, the eatery is billed as an “authentic American-style restaurant featuring dishes inspired by the restaurant scene of the late 1800s.”


‘Dancing With the Stars’ comes to SF

‘Dancing the Night Away’: On Saturday at the Hilton Union Square, Olympic gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi hosted “Dancing With the Stars” celebrities in the second annual benefit for the Always Dream Foundation. In attendance were Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Evan Lysacek, Natalie Coughlin, Chelsie Hightower, Jane Seymour, Anna Trebunskaya and Jonathan Roberts, along with local radio luminaries and event emcees Don Bleu and Renel Brooks-Moon.


Debs honored at med center benefit

Debutante Ball: The Women’s Board of California Pacific Medical Center Foundation honored 18 outstanding young women at its 46th annual ball Friday at the Westin St. Francis Hotel. The event, which combines tradition and philanthropy in support of vital programs at the hospital, was co-chaired by Susan Malott and Kathy Goldsmith. Officials Warren Browner, CEO of CPMC, and Mark Kimball, president of the CPMC Foundation, were on hand to thank supporters.
