Red Carpet: Local Red Cross revels for readiness 

Paint the Town Red Gala: Some 450 patrons attended the American Red Cross Bay Area chapter’s annual fundraiser Saturday at San Francisco City Hall. Chaired by Roberta Economidis and Kelly Murphy, the event is a benefit for local disaster relief for Bay Area residents. Attendees included members of the San Francisco International Consular Corps and philanthropic community, along with supporters of the arts and humanitarian causes.

Jeweler glitters with new SF store

BVLGARI grand opening: On March 2, the luxury jeweler celebrated the grand opening of its largest store in the U.S., at 200 Stockton St., with a big party attended by San Francisco VIPs including Charlotte Shultz and Mayor Gavin Newsom. The gathering was hosted by Nicola Bulgari, vice chairman and grandson of founder Sotirio Bulgari, and U.S. managing director Veronica Trenk.

Mardi Gras bash benefits little ones

The Little Jim Club Mardi Gras Ball: The pediatric fundraising group for California Pacific Medical Center held its 58th annual Mardi Gras celebration Friday at the Palace Hotel in The City. Festivities included a VIP reception, Reveler’s Ball, regional menu, silent auction, dancing and the crowning of the 58th monarch of the Mardi Gras Ball, pediatrician Steven Martel.
