Bay Area Arthritis Auxiliary Fashion Show: On Thursday in the ballroom of the Westin St. Francis Hotel, the Bay Area Arthritis Auxiliary hosted a benefit for the Northern California chapter of the Arthritis Foundation that featured resort and spring collections from Lily Samii. It raised nearly $200,000. Heading up the festivities were auxiliary President Sallie Huntting, event co-chairs Gail DeMartini and Jane Inch, and foundation board Chairwoman Patricia Sprincin.

Restoration Hardware gets new look

The Gallery opening: On Wednesday, Restoration Hardware celebrated the grand reopening of its Corte Madera store. In addition to showcasing a new brand concept, the event also served as a benefit for the University of San Francisco Pediatric Brain Tumor Program. Hosts were Restoration Hardware CEO Gary Friedman and Giulio Capua, vice president and publisher of Architectural Digest.

Project Inform is fashion forward

Project Inform’s “Evening of Hope”: Alec Mapa of TV’s “Ugly Betty” was master of ceremonies for 400 guests Wednesday at the Four Seasons for “A Night of Lifesaving Fashion,” in which models wore designer gowns decorated with condoms. Organizers at Project Inform — sometimes known as the first HIV/AIDS hot line — added that the whimsical event contained an important message about preventing HIV infection.
