Red Carpet: Dior couture in the spotlight 

Dior Summer 2010 Collection celebration: Pamela Joyner opened her San Francisco home for a special private exhibition and luncheon with a focus on Dior designs, including the signature Bar jacket, from the house’s archives in Paris. Dior President Pamela Baxter and Executive Vice President Karen Watkins were in attendance, along with co-hosts Regina Kulik Scully, Dayle Haddon and Jennifer Siebel Newsom.

‘Choo 24:7 Collection Launch hosted by Millennium Tower’: Last week, Jimmy Choo and Millennium Tower unveiled the designer’s capsule collection featuring best-selling styles and honoring San Francisco first lady Jennifer Siebel Newsom and her nonprofit documentary, “Miss Representation.”  


Saving America’s Great Plains
 
American Prairie Foundation reception: Last week in Menlo Park, environmentalists — including hosts Judy Koch, Gib and Susan Myers, Jeff and Karen Miller, and Jay and Kären Abbe — gathered to get a sneak preview of “American Serengeti,” a new National Geographic film about efforts to preserve the pristine landscape of the Great Plains, and how organizations are establishing and maintaining a wildlife reserve — the American Prairie Reserve — in Montana.
