‘Celebrate With Heart’: The American Heart Association hosted a gala winemaker’s supper last week at the Four
Seasons Hotel in San Francisco. Acclaimed vintners poured offerings from their wineries for donors and patrons.
Joseph Saunders, chairman and CEO of Visa Inc., chaired the event. Contributions will go to the organization’s
campaign to end the childhood-obesity epidemic.

 

 Trading education to help Africa

Teach With Africa gala: The organization’s third annual benefit event, a gourmet buffet and silent auction, was held last week at the St. Regis Hotel in The City. Funds raised will go toward the group’s mission to address educational crises in Africa and the U.S. through an exchange program of teaching and learning.

 

 SFMOMA opens Luc Tuymans show

‘Luc Tuymans: Paintings’: San Francisco Museum of Modern Art patrons gathered to celebrate the opening of the first U.S. retrospective and the most comprehensive presentation of the contemporary Belgian artist’s work to date, with approximately 80 key paintings from 1985 to the present.
