Recent San Mateo County prostitution arrests related to 

Two recent underage prostitution busts in San Mateo County are tied to, a raunchy hookups website that lists reviews of escort and massage parlor services.

Last month, a Modesto madam was busted selling a 17-year-old girl out of a Redwood City motel. Eight days later, two more suspects were arrested on suspicion of selling two 16-year-olds out of a South San Francisco Travelodge motel room that was littered with condoms, lingerie and counterfeit bills. In both cases, the girls had been advertised on, according to San Mateo County prosecutors.

The website allows users to post ads and reviews for escort and massage parlor services. It garnered more than 270,000 unique visitors in the month of July, according to analytics website

The Modesto pimp, 24-year-old Vanessa Gabriella Obligacion, was sentenced to 90 days in jail Tuesday after pleading to one felony count related to pimping the 17-year-old.

Police nabbed her at the GoodNite Inn on Oct. 12. Prosecutors said Obligacion met the girl on a curb in Oakland, recruited her to join her prostitution business and then posted seductive photos of her on

On Aug. 20 in South City, pimping suspects Mahender Mike Singh, 40, and Helen Jean Singh, 22, both from Sacramento, were arrested after being linked to underage pimping.

Police found two 16-year-old girls and a 19-year-old woman in a Travelodge room allegedly rented by Mahender. They told police Mahender was their pimp, authorities said.

Mahender told cops the girls were her stepdaughters. Police said they found ads for the girls on

Helen Singh was arrested after she showed up at the motel in possession of a cell phone, deposit slips and pay-owe sheets that were used for the pimp business, prosecutors said.

They face multiple felony counts in connection to the bust and are set to enter their plea in a Redwood City courtroom on Wednesday.
