Rare moment of civility in San Francisco mayoral debate

When Terry Baum, the Green Party's candidate for San Francisco mayor, unexpectedly showed up to tonight’s mayoral debate, she was told she would be not be able to answer any questions and would be given time at the end of the event for her platform. Supporters in the crowd booed.

In a rare moment of civility in a debate that has candidates taking potshots at Mayor Ed Lee, Joanna Rees gave up her time to Baum to answer a controversial question about the Central Subway project. Maybe there is a chance for common courtesy in this debate after all.
