Rage on Page Street

A knife-wielding dad was arrested Monday after allegedly attacking a driver who came close to running over him and his son, police said.

The father and his boy were crossing Page Street at Masonic Avenue around 6:55 p.m. when the motorist braked hard to avoid hitting them, police said.

The father had words with the motorist outside the car. They pushed each other, then the dad whipped out a knife and chased after the motorist.

Cops were called. The knife-wielding man, a 40-year-old Bayview district resident, was arrested for assault after officers found him at Central Avenue, police said. The child’s mother was called to Park Station to pick up the boy.
