Raccoon carcass among official's graphic tweets

While city leaders such as Mayor Gavin Newsom and City Attorney Dennis Herrera have been known to use Twitter every now and then, there may be no city employee who is as prolific, and graphic, as the Department of Public Works’ Mohammed Nuru.

Some gems from the deputy director include a picture of an illegal dump out in Hunters Point and this warning, complete with picture, of avoiding black widows.

But the real prize goes to a tweet sent Friday afternoon to his 198 followers, the author of this post being one. In his update, Nuru sends out “kudos” to Animal Care and Control for extricating a rather large, and dead, raccoon from Islais Creek.

Of course, just saying thank you wouldn’t be enough. Click on the link and you too may know what its like to have one of San Francisco’s dirtiest jobs.
