Put in your two cents on student assignment 

The City’s school district has narrowed its list of alternatives to a controversial student assignment admission system and is enabling quite a few opportunities to hear about it this week.

At 6 p.m. today the Ad Hoc Committee on Student Assignment meeting in the district’s headquarters at 555 Franklin St. to discuss timelines on a decision.

On Tuesday there will be the second among a series of informational sessions for anyone to attend at Dianne Feinstein Elementary, 2550 25th Ave. at 6 p.m.

Then the United Educators of San Francisco, the teachers union, will hold the first of its two informational sessions on Thursday at Sunset Elementary 1920 41st Ave. at 4 p.m.

The next UESF meeting is on Jan. 11 at 4 p.m., also in the district headquarters.

The school district is also usually updating its Web site, with a list of the options and an online survey. Information can be found here.
