Prostitution tactics may get commission hearing

At least one member of the Police Commission is concerned about police Chief George Gascon’s suggestion that the pictures of multiple-offending prostitution customers should be made public.

Petra DeJesus, who has been on the commission for four years, told Gascon Wednesday night that she wants a presentation and time for feedback from the commission before adopting any type of humiliation tactic.

In response, Gascon agreed and invited commissioners to come along for a ride-along to get “another point of view.”
