Preview of ‘Milk’ film now online

The filming brought the life and times of Harvey Milk back to San Francisco, and know you can see the film — or at least the trailer for it.

The biopic about one of the first openly gay elected officials in the country includes scenes from San Francisco that include City Hall and the Castro District.

The movie, which stars Sean Penn as the slain supervisor, re-created the late 1970s in several scenes by using extas that wore clothes from the era. Other makeovers to The City were done for the film, including repainting the Castro Theatre.
