President wants CEO of tax-dodging GE on jobs council 

President Barack Obama wants GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt to lead his jobs council, even though GE didn’t pay any taxes last year on its $5.1 billion in U.S. profits. White House press secretary Jay Carney struggled to explain this by saying, “This is part of the problem of the corporate tax structure.” And if that wasn’t sufficiently reassuring, Carney added that the jobs council was “designed” to provide many diverse opinions.
