Power washer thieves make clean getaway — so far

Dirty thieves stole a power washer from the garage of a Financial District office building during the peak rush hour on Tuesday morning, police said.

At around 6 p.m., one of the two suspects was captured on security cameras riding a red bicycle into the garage inside the 48-story 345 California Center.

The crook returned a few moments later with an accomplice to claim the power washer, police said.

The heavy-duty cleansing machine is valued at more than $4,000, they said.

As of Wednesday, the suspects had not been found.

“However, we are working in conjunction with the security from the garage to investigate the theft,” police said.
