Police seek suspects in attempted armed robbery at South City park 

South San Francisco police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred Sunday night at the Westborough Park baseball field.

About 9:45 p.m., two suspects approached two South San Francisco residents at the park, located at 2500 Westborough Blvd.

One suspect reportedly brandished a knife at the victims and demanded they hand over their personal belongings, police said. A physical fight ensued, and one of the victims sustained minor injuries.

According to police, the suspects did not take any property from the victims and fled the scene on foot.

Police have described both suspects as black males, approximately 20 to 25 years old with slender builds. One suspect was described by police as approximately 6-foot-2 with short hair and was last seen wearing a black ski mask, blue jeans and a white sweatshirt with a multicolored hood. The second suspect was described as approximately 5-foot-10 with longer hair braided into cornrows and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark blue hooded sweatshirt.
