Police are seeking the public's help to identify a man who is accused of robbing a pharmacy at gunpoint last month in Ingleside Heights.

The incident happened about 9 a.m. March 30 when a man walked into a pharmacy in the 3900 block of Alemany Boulevard and pulled out a black handgun, Officer Carlos Manfredi said. The suspect jumped over the counter and grabbed two bottles of a pharmaceutical and also demanded several others.

An employee opened up a locked cabinet and the suspect took 15 to 20 bottles of OxyContin and five to six bottles of Morphone, Manfredi said. Both drugs are opioids that have high street values. The suspect placed all of the bottles into a green Whole Foods shopping bag and fled.

Much of the incident was caught on surveillance video, which the Police Department released this week in hopes that someone will recognize the suspect.

Anyone with information about the incident can call police at (415) 575-4444 or send a text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” at the start of the message.
