Police probing rash of Burlingame robberies

Burlingame police are warning residents today to make sure to lock their windows and doors because of a string of burglaries in the past five weeks.

In each of the robberies, during which items such as jewelry, money, iPods, laptops and video games have been taken, the thief entered the home through an open window or door, police reported. Residents have not been at home during the robberies.

According to police, the burglaries happened in the 300 block of Burlingame Avenue, the 300 block of Clarendon Road, the 500 block of Corbitt Drive and the 600 block of Plymouth Way. They are thought to have taken place between 9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Residents are asked to beware and report any suspicious activity to the Burlingame police at (650) 777-4100.
