Police on lookout for knife-wielding gropers who plundered store

A pair of touchy-feely robbers got their mitts into the cash register and probed the clerk for more loot at a San Francisco liquor store Tuesday night — and made sure not to leave without yanking items from shelves.

Police are on the hunt for the knife-wielding gropers that got personal with the store employee on the 1100 block of Leavenworth Street at around 11:50 p.m.

The suspects, described as black men in their 30s, stormed into the store, with one snagging cash from the register while the other dug into the pockets of the clerk, a 27-year-old Asian man, police said.

They fled, but not before running off with an unknown amount of shelf items, police said. There were no immediate arrests, and the store clerk was not injured, police said.
