Police: Man struck by car in Lower Haight was jaywalking 

A man was hit by a car while jaywalking in San Francisco’s Lower Haight neighborhood early this morning, police said.

The accident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Divisadero and Page streets.

The 26-year-old victim suffered a cut to his head when he was struck by a black 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, according to police.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital. His injuries were initially believed to be life-threatening but he is now expected to survive, police said.

The driver of the Chevy stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said. He was not injured.
