Police make arrest in frothy Fisherman’s Wharf stabbing

Police have made an arrest in the case where a man was stabbed outside a Fisherman's Wharf café, police Officer Albie Esparza said.

The incident occurred Tuesday night in the 2800 block of Jones Street about 8:30 p.m. Two women reportedly got into an argument with a 44-year-old man that culminated with the women throwing a milkshake at the man, Esparza said.

The argument then moved outside the café and one of the women pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the upper back, Esparza said. The victim then went back into the café to call the police.

The two women fled when officers arrived southbound on Jones Street before heading east on Beach Street, Esparza said. They were apprehended at Powell and Beach streets.

Timarrah Norris, 18, of San Francisco was arrested and booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, Esparza said. The other girl was 17 and released to her parents.
