Police make arrest in connection with SoMa stabbing and robbery 

Police have made an arrest in connection with a stabbing and robbery in South of Market last month.

Kevin Ferreyra, 21, of Richmond was arrested Saturday and booked at County Jail on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery with serious injuries in connection with a stabbing during a robbery in the 200 block of Sixth Street.

Officers located the victim about 1:10 a.m.. The man was stabbed in the chest and arm after he was robbed. He was later hospitalized.

Officer searched the area and found a suspect who matched the description of the assailant near Minna and Russ streets, Officer Albie Esparza said. The man was identified as Ferreyra and taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with further information on the case is encouraged to call the night investigations unit at (415) 553-1201 or the anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444. Tips can also be sent by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” at the start of the message.
